2010 Eleven Point Championship

Our eleven point championship this year will be based on a ratings system rather than a league ladder. Every fourth Thursday of each month will be reserved for eleven point matches (although players may play each other outside of this slot as long match results are reported to Phil at tutchingsp@aol.com)

The rating system used is the well established FIBS rating system (and calculated automatically after each game using a downloaded rating calculator from FIBS). All players start with an initial rating of 1500.  This is adjusted after each match so it is important that results are reported as matches are completed. The rating system doesn’t discriminate between scores (just whether you have won or lost the match and the current rating of yourself and your opponent). Match scores and latest standings will be recorded  on a database as matches are played - details available from Phil at tutchingsp@aol.com

The ratings will only count for the 2010 season and the player with the highest rating at the end of play after the club session on 16th December 2010 will win the Eleven Point Championship trophy. Although rated matches may be played outside of club nights players must have played in at least three 11 point club night sessions to be eligible to win the championship.
